A free, in-browser tool for brainstorming, outlining and structuring ideas. Capture a central topic, branch it into sub-ideas, and keep going until the shape of the problem is clear. Nothing leaves your device — the whole map is saved in your browser's local storage.
Mind maps work outward from a root idea. Start with one node for the central topic. From there, build parent → child relationships: each child is one level more specific than its parent. Children of a "Marketing" node might be "SEO", "Email", "Social". Children of "SEO" might be "On-page", "Off-page", "Technical".
Not every connection is parent-to-child. Two siblings might depend on each other; an idea in one branch might reference an idea in another. Use Link mode to draw a relationship line between any two nodes without changing the hierarchy.
Node labels stay short and scannable. For anything longer — quotes, source links, a paragraph of context — open Notes on the selected node. Notes are stored with the node but never rendered on the canvas, so the map stays clean.
Your map is autosaved locally, but local storage can be cleared. To keep a backup or move a map between devices:
